Behind the Blues
Hickory Hall Blue Weimaraners was born out of a true love of the Weimaraner breed and a true fascination with the blue color of our second Weimie after owning our AKC fancy titled (and so loved) first silver girl, Alex over 20 years ago.

After falling in love with the breed after adoption our first Weimaraner over 20 years ago, Hickory Hall Blue Weimaraners was born out of a true love of the breed and of our Sire, Duff, who has the calmest, most loyal and sweet personality. We wanted everyone to have the opportunity to have a dog like Duff! Coming from families that bred Collies and Schipperkes for years, we believed we could take on the task (with a little help from the family matriarchs). So we truly started Hickory Hall Blues because of one really exceptional dog. And then we added another, sweet Cleo, our mama bear. We live on 2+ acres at Hickory Hall full time and our dogs are part of the family. They live inside with us. So, we are essentially a family of five including a 12 year old daughter and a grouchy little Havanese, who both enjoy socializing with the Weims on a daily basis. In our other lives, Drew is a songwriter, artist and producer and Jolyn invests in real estate and our 12 old is a super hilarious, excellent writer and budding volleyball star. Stella, our Havanese, weighs 8 pounds but thinks she is the boss of the whole crew. Maybe she is? ;)

PUPPY FOOD WE LOVE
All of our pups start on Purina Pro Plan Puppy, just like their parents did. We have found it to be the best for young pups and we include some with every new puppy care package.

ADULT DOG FOOD WE LOVE

HARNESSES AND COLLARS WE LOVE
We love BoneFly collars and harnesses for younger puppies and an Easy Walk Harness (shown here) for older pups and adults.

CRATES WE LOVE
We love Diggs dog crates. They are the easiest to use, clean and carry with. However, they do not make an XL size yet so keep that in mind if getting a male pup.

TREATS WE LOVE
We use training treats with our pups and with our adult dogs alike. And of course our pack loves bones. Some of our favorite brands are Earth Animal Market Bites, Farmer's Dog Snack Sticks, Blue Buffalo and Greenies for teeth cleaning.

TOYS WE LOVE
Our pups love ALL toys! We especially like toys that make them think like dog puzzle toys and snuffle balls. They are also big fans of tug toys, coffee wood tote toys (it helps so much with chewing) and any ball they see.
We like The Farmers Dog for our adult dogs. We love the ratio of protein to veggies to grain and the healthy coats, skin and teeth we see!
